BEHIND THE DESIGN
Somewhere Between Form, Function & the Fifth Dimension.
I’ve always been fascinated by symbols—the way something seemingly ordinary can unlock a door to an entirely different perception of the environment we experience.
For me, 11|22 represents that curious intersection between the mystical and the material world. Where science meets intuition, architecture meets consciousness, and the seemingly impossible begins asking, “What if?”
It’s a fascinating place to explore. And, as it turns out, the most extraordinary place from which to design.
01 / BIOPHILIC DESIGN
Biophilic design is about much more than a thoughtfully placed collection of houseplants—although we’re certainly fond of those, too.
Nature influences how we feel, think, and experience our surroundings. Guided by Terrapin Bright Green’s research into biophilic design patterns, we integrate natural light, organic forms, materials, textures, and sensory experiences into the built environment.
The result? Spaces that don’t just look beautiful, but thoughtfully support our physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.
02 / SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is about more than choosing materials that look natural—although we certainly appreciate a beautiful piece of reclaimed wood.
Guided by Cradle to Cradle principles, we look beyond aesthetics to consider material health, responsible sourcing, manufacturing practices, durability, and what happens at the end of a product’s useful life. Through thoughtful research and due diligence, we seek products and materials that support healthier interiors, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to a more circular economy.
Because good design shouldn’t just look beautiful today. It should make sense for tomorrow.
03 / INCLUSIVITY
Great design doesn’t ask everyone to experience a space in the same way. It creates opportunities for everyone to feel comfortable, connected, and included.
This kitchen flows naturally into an intimate sitting room, bringing cooking, conversation, relaxation, and gathering together while allowing each activity its own place.
We approach inclusive design with an appreciation for different ages, abilities, lifestyles, and ways of interacting with our surroundings. Through thoughtful space planning, intuitive circulation, and adaptable environments, we create spaces that support the people who use them.
Belonging shouldn’t be an afterthought. It should be part of the design.
THE PERSON BEHIND 1122 DESIGNS
Designing From the Inside Out™
I have always believed that the most interesting part of any space is the person experiencing it. Our environments tell stories about who we are, how we live, what we value, and sometimes even who we’re becoming.
My work brings together interior architecture, human behavior, nature, and a healthy dose of curiosity to create environments that are not only beautiful, but meaningful. And no matter how sophisticated or luxurious a space may be, I believe there should always be room to play.
Remember dressing up, imagining who you might become, or creating entire worlds out of practically nothing? Somewhere along the way, we began believing those were foolish things, and that growing up meant putting such foolishness away.
But what if we were never meant to outgrow our imaginations?
That curious, playful part of ourselves never really goes away. Sometimes it just needs a little encouragement to come out and play again. Our environments can offer that invitation—giving us room to explore, express ourselves, and try on new versions of who we might become.
